“Road-2018” International Specialized Exhibition

On 16 to 18 October, the first international specialized exhibition “Road-2018” took place in Kazan.
The exhibition was held in a new Kazan Expo exhibition centre with its area exceeding 75,000 sqm.

More than 6,000 participants and 200 exhibitors from different cities of Russia were ready to share their experience accumulated in road construction and show the latest technologies and capabilities of their companies.

Top officials in road construction field took part in round-table discussions and conferences, particularly, Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Evgeniy Ditrikh, head of Rosavtodor Andrey Kostyuk, assistant to the Russian President Igor Levitin and the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

On the 17th of October, an extended session of Rosavtodor Science and Technology Center was held in the format of a round-table discussion on the following topic: “Geocomposite and geosynthetic materials”.

MIAKOM took an active part in the discussion with a report on implementing the regulatory framework for geosynthetics application. It brought up issues regarding necessity to update regulatory and industry documents on justification of geomaterials calculations in road pavement structures.

MIAKOM is contributing to this process, and currently GOST regarding calculations of reinforced-ground retaining walls, developed in cooperation with Geoproekt Science and Technology Center (Krqasnodar), is being considered at the Technical Committee 418.

Apart from taking part in round-table discussions, MIAKOM participated as an exhibitor.
The exhibition stand with the area of 88 sqm allowed our company to show all its divisions and innovations in production.

All in all, MIAKOM stand represented STROY-IMPULS project company, ViaCon Technologies company, a manufacturer of helical corrugated pipes, and a new trademark – TUTEN sound barriers.
